What you need :
Milk: 400 ml
Eggs: 4
Sugar: 5 soup spoons (or => 120 g)
Sweetened condensed milk: 1 tin / (=> 395g)
Desiccated coconut: 125 g
+ 2 LOAF TINS |
| One slightly bigger than the other |
Put the coconut in a baking bowl
Add the eggs
Mix together

| Add the condensed milk and the milk Mix together |
| It should look like this |
| Add the 5 spoonfulls |
| OR the 120 g of sugar |
| Add the sugar and mix together |
Leave this to one side and start on the caramel!!
| and stir until it looks like this and smells caramelly! |
| In the smaller tin, pour the caramel mixture so that it coats the bottom well |
| Pour the coconut mixture on top of the caramel Then you are almost done ! |
| Half fill the bigger tin with water and put the smaller tin inside If some water spills out, top it up |
| Put the 2 tins into the oven on a medium shelf At 180'C for 45 minutes |
To check if it is ready : insert a knife into the flan
=> if it comes out completely clean then it is ready
if not leave it until it does

Leave it to cool,
then put it in the fridge for a minimum of 6 hours.
You can keep it in the fridge overnight as well
| Afterwards, carefully run a knife around the edge |
| Put your serving dish on the top and FLIP !! Take care ! |
| Slowly lift the tin off the flan! |
| Slice it up! Et voilà ! |
| you can also slice it down the middle for more guests |
